Hand Weaving

I love to hand-weave (tho it's a little too hot right now to have all the fibers in my lap) and thought I'd share some pics of the goodies I've made lately:

I just put up new wearables pages on the website that show these. In addition, I hand-weave little tiny purses. It's so fun to do - and a great excuse to buy yarn!!

I think tomorrow I might be able to finish some jewelry. Or work in my art journal. Or I might get stuck doing more stuff to the house to get it on the market. Either way, I'll try to come back soon ~ Sherry

Please Pardon My Mess

I bought a magazine/book the other day called ARTFUL BLOGGING and realized while reading it that my blog needed some work. So Please Pardon My Mess while the site is being remodeled. Again. Of course, the main thing I need to work on is posting more pictures and more frequently. But with all this room reorganizing and blog remodeling, I haven't done much art for awhile.

Oh! I did finish this cute little purse. I recycled the body from an old purse I had made (I'd worn thru the body of it).

Getting Creative Again

The last week has been great with plenty of time to create after work. I've made an assemblage and needle felted a bird pin. I've photographed some things for the website. And I'm trying my hand at a couple of new things (well, new to me).

It is amazing how much better I feel, how much happier I am when I get to create. I like that at work I get to play with art supplies and learn how to do some crafts that I've not tried, but here, in my own studio, I get to take what's in my head or heart and by gluing, painting, stitching and more, bring it out into the open.
